    Thanks for thinking of me and others hosting in Phoenix.

    This article is referring to the city of Phoenix. However, when people talk about Phoenix, they are often referring to metro Phoenix, which is made up of 33 different cities, all with their own laws, so one shouldn't assume that the laws mentioned in this article apply to them and should be careful to double check laws in their specific city.

    Ahh. Wow what a hassle for AirBnB regulations department :) I see they charge the occupancy tax in Phoenix proper but you are right, not in Tempe, or Scottsdale, Glendale, or Mesa, etc.
